Fees

Consultation Call for Prospective Clients: A complimentary 10-to-15-minute phone consultation is provided to determine if I am an appropriate provider for your goals and scheduling needs, and to address any questions you have about rates and payment for services. If we mutually decide that my services are a good fit, we can schedule a first session and you will be given access to the HIPAA-compliant client portal that provides the virtual platform for that session as well as the intake paperwork you need to complete before that date and time.

Rate Range and Cancellation Fee: Each 50-minute session is $200-250, depending on type and approach, with additional time provided at a prorated rate when requested and deemed clinically appropriate. Cancellations less than 24 hours before appointment are charged the full scheduled session fee.

Payment

Payment at Time of Service: The HIPAA-compliant client portal you will be given access to for the purposes of filling out intake paperwork, sending and receiving secure messages, and attending virtual sessions also provides secure storage for your chosen form of payment (all major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards are accepted) for any services provided. Your chosen form of payment will be processed automatically at time of session.

Insurance Reimbursement: I do not bill health insurance and my services are considered out-of-network for all insurance plans. This means you are responsible for paying for the cost of services at the time of session. If you have out-of-network health care benefits, you may be reimbursed a portion of my fees by submitting what is referred to as a "superbill" (a detailed receipt that contains required insurance information) to your insurance provider. If you choose to utilize your out-of-network benefits, I can provide you with the superbill you will need to prepare and submit that reimbursement request. Keeping in mind that your provider may choose to cover all, some, or none of these services, I suggest you contact your insurance company to verify your out-of-network coverage for outpatient mental health or "behavioral health" services prior to scheduling a first session. To very if you have out-of-network benefits and what portion of those fees will be covered, you'll need to call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card.
